Laurie Corlett-Donald is a solo artist based in Edinburgh who makes contemporary classical music blended with electronic ambient undertones He started his career when he was 19, playing in the band Discopolis and receiving widespread acclaim, then playing in Stillhound, touring extensively and releasing three records. He also turned his hand to solo music production, releasing club music under the moniker ‘Trembler’ until he shifted to more ambient sonics and string arrangements. After many years of learning and experimenting, the project ‘Dunedin’ emerged – a multimedia exploration of his hometown. Drawing on experiences of wanting to be away from Edinburgh, then leaving and seeing new places and yet inevitably ending up back there, the record acts as a homage to a city entrenched in the soul of who he is.
